Managing Multiple Locations with Groups

The Groups feature in the Local Toolkit is designed to simplify and streamline the management of multiple business locations. By organizing locations into custom groups, you can see aggregated performance at a glance without having to inspect locations one by one, saving time and helping you gain deeper insights more efficiently.

All the Local tools support the Groups feature except for Map Rank Tracker.

What Are Groups?

A Group is a custom collection of your business locations that you can manage as a single entity. You have the flexibility to create groups based on any criteria that suits your workflow, such as:

  • Region or Country
  • Specific Brand
  • Agency Client
  • Service Type

You can add up to 100 locations per group.

Why Use Groups

Using Groups helps you work more efficiently and strategically across multiple locations.

  • Save Time: Manage reviews, listings, and Google Business Profile (GBP) data for an entire group of locations in one place. This eliminates the need to jump between individual location dashboards.
  • Understand Performance at Scale: View aggregated GBP performance metrics such as views, interactions, and review ratings for groups of locations by region, client set, or brand. Compare groups side by side, or drill down to analyze up to five locations within a group to spot top performers.

How to Create and Manage a Group

Setting up a group is straightforward.

  1. Navigate to any of the supported tools in the Local Toolkit.
  2. Click the three-dots menu button in the upper-right corner, then choose “Create Group.”
